My husband laughed and made a few jokes when I told him, my mom seemed overly nervous for me and I just felt anxious as I waited a week for my first treatment. Traction has somehow earned itself a pretty negative stigma over the years, (picture hospital beds and various body parts rigged up to strange contraptions), so honestly I was expecting the worst.
I'm happy to report that other than looking a little awkward, it's surprisingly relaxing and feels like Heaven on my achy neck. I only wish I had my headphones along so that I wouldn't have overheard another patient candidly discussing various, um, restroom habits from the other side of the room...
TMI sir, T - M - I.
Anyway, back to those ceiling tiles...20, air vent, 25, another light fixture...
A lot of "awesome" happened today: I witnessed the awesome power of a thunderstorm, I had my first traction treatment for my neck, which felt awesome, my kitchen light fixture unexpectedly fell from the ceiling - NOT awesome, but an awesome neighbor helped detach the wires for me so it wouldn't come crashing down in the middle of the night...see, awesome! And since I didn't manage to get a photo of any of that awesomeness, I decided to shoot the awesome mirror caps on my awesome car.
