Last week of summer "school" for the kiddos. Don't let the name fool you, the only thing that had to do with school, was the location. They both enjoyed their morning activities, which means next year shouldn't be a struggle to get them to agree to sign up. They're happy with their class choices and I'm happy with just about anything that will keep their brains occupied for a few hours and also prevents a daily Civil War in the living room. The new challenge will be keeping them happy for the remaining 5 weeks of summer. One week will be spent in New York, but the rest is up for grabs. Time to get creative. Day 194 {Still Life} - Going for Broke... ...and got it. The trials and tribulations of being a lacrosse goalie. Took the boy in for an x-ray today to see if he would be ok for this weekend's tourney, and it's a good thing I did...his thumb is broken and any additional trauma could damage his growth plate. He's heart-broken of course, and feels he's letting the team down. But still plans to be on the sideline to cheer them on. |
