You may look alright from the outside, but EVERY BREATH HURTS.
From where I'm sitting right now, I can see all the weeds and overgrowth in my garden that I haven't been able to work on due to my neck and back issues this spring. To say I'm getting depressed would be an understatement. I pulled one handful of weeds the other day and then decided that I better not push my luck...but it didn't matter, I still had a rib out of place by Thursday.
And another by the following Wednesday...I felt that one go on Monday. The unmistakable pop and burn in my shoulder. Damn.
I'm starting to wonder if this is ever going to get better. I'm to the point where I'm afraid to sneeze. Like one false move might cause me to split down the middle. Even as I type this, I can feel the ache and burn between my shoulder blades which is a pretty good indication that something's not right. I'll know for sure tomorrow, but judging by the amount of pain I'm in and the fact that my clavicle is jutting out more than usual, I'm guessing it's 2 ribs this time around.
I'm in a constant rotation of applying heat, stretching, icing and laying flat on my back whenever possible. I squeeze work in when I can (I've fallen dreadfully behind), and I've been relegated to watching all my favorite activities instead of participating in them.
So my Humpty Dumpty saga continues.
